Resume Work Monday or Else. Gov. Almakura

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has advised workers to resume work by Monday or the government would then decide on the next line of action.

Speaking at the launch of the fertilizer distribution for the year 2016 Gov. Almakura used the opportunity to enlighten the people on the fact that the workers of Nasarawa state had since August 2011 till April 2016 been receiving three times their salary.

Stating that since then government has given over 20 billion extra to workers and now that the economic fortunes have changed government sees it necessary to review the salary without touching the minimum wage. He made it known that even the reviewed salary is double what the minimum wage prescribes or what is paid in other states.
He urged them to resume work by Monday or face the Consequences of their action, as the government is still paying them above what the law.
