Izuchukwu Solomon Ogbodo, a final year student of Mathematics Department in Federal University Lafia has design an effective timetable and lecture reminder app.

The application named “Lecture Reminder” will serve as an electronic timetable and reminder for students and lecturers in FULafia. Lecture Reminder is built based on the timetable scheme of FULafia and this app sends a push up notification to users about upcoming lecture(s) before the actual lecture time. The notifications include the course title, time duration, venue, lecturer’s name (optional).

“I conceived this idea of coming up with a Lecture reminder when I felt I should do something that both lecturers and students of FULafia can efficiently use. I started the design and the coding in my 200 level second semester. I thank God that today everyone that have seen it so far love the idea and the program itself.”

Lecture Reminder works on offline mode once the app is installed on your mobile device. The app currently runs only on Android devices. The app can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store by simply searching for “Lecture Reminder” or from this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blog.matthiasogbodo.timetablereminder
